This hand-painted glass ornament depicts one of Boca Raton's favorite past landmarks - the camel that stood over Dixie Highway. Erected in 1928, the large camel was meant to get the attention of Shriners passing through Boca Raton on their way to a Miami Convention. An accompanying sign directed people to the newly constructed "Town Hall".
